Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a dedicated, supportive space to explore your thoughts, emotions, patterns, and experiences with intention and care. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, or moments where things just feel “off,” therapy can help you better understand yourself and move forward with greater clarity, regulation, and steadiness.

At Meadowlark Integrative Wellness, individual therapy is collaborative, paced with care, and grounded in evidence-informed practice — always honoring your lived experience and individual goals.

What Individual Therapy Can Support

Individual therapy may be helpful if you’re experiencing:

  • Anxiety, chronic stress, or overwhelm

  • Depression or persistent low mood

  • Grief and loss

  • Burnout or emotional exhaustion

  • Life transitions or identity shifts

  • Relationship challenges or boundary concerns

  • Trauma or difficult past experiences

You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy. Many people seek support when something no longer feels aligned and they’re ready for change or deeper understanding.

My Approach to Individual Therapy

My approach centers on you — your experience, your pace, your goals. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and cultivating emotional awareness within a respectful, supportive therapeutic relationship.

Depending on your needs and preferences, therapy may draw from:

  • Person-centered and relational approaches

  • Cognitive and acceptance-based practices

  • Mindfulness and reflective exploration

While I often integrate nervous-system awareness into my work, individual therapy does not require body-based or somatic practices unless that feels right for you.

What Sessions Are Like

Sessions are thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to your pace. Some meetings may invite deeper emotional processing, while others focus on understanding patterns, building skills, or navigating current stressors.

You don’t need a plan or the “right words” to begin — therapy is about exploration, not perfection. Many clients describe this process as grounding, validating, and supportive — a place where they truly feel heard and understood, while gaining tools that carry into daily life.

How Individual Therapy Differs from Integrative Mental Health

Individual therapy focuses primarily on talk-based psychotherapy and emotional processing. Integrative Mental Health sessions may include a broader emphasis on nervous-system regulation, lifestyle factors, and body-based practices.

If you’re unsure which option is the best fit, we can explore this together and determine what approach aligns best with your needs.
